Skyping, Missionary Work, and Beautifully HOT Days (May 9)

Germany is hot. Like, not as technically hot as Utah, but WAY more humid. It is crazy. We have been drinking so much water, but there's still SO MUCH fizzy water in this country! It's a good thing I like that stuff now.

Skype was awesome. I am only mostly distracted, but it will get better, I'm sure. I do feel really motivated, so that's great.

I feel good today, but I am really distressed/discouraged/completely freaking out right now. We went to try and figure out my visa this morning and it turns out that the PACKET of papers that explain how I am working for the church and they pay me money and take care of my living requirements for the duration of my time here in Germany, wasn't clear enough for the office so they are trying to just kick me out of the country right now. It's fine. It is not the first time, and if I get transferred, all of my papers get transferred with me, so it might actually be easier to get a visa in a different city. It's fine. Everything will work out. Eventually.

Today is gorgeous. I love Utah, and I love the desert. But the sunrises and sunsets here are absolutely STUNNING literally every day. It's amazing, and the sky is incredibly blue and the trees are green and everything is just so herrlich. I love it.

We had stake conference this week, and a member of the Seventy came and talked to us. His name is Elder Homer. I shook his hand. I had no idea that he was the member of the Seventy who came to speak to us when I shook his hand. This is the second time this has happened on my mission. I keep having all these blonde moments and my hair is still mostly brown. It's fine, it's fine. The conference was fantastic, and we had an investigator come! And she told us afterwards that she wants to get baptized!!!! What???? We have some stuff to talk about first, but it was a really great experience. :)

We set a baptismal date with another one of our investigators and it is so great! Nürnberg zone is on fire right now!!! President Stoddard said he's never seen our zone doing so much good work before, so we're all really happy. We're not sure what's changed to make this all happen though, so we're not sure how to keep it going. I'm chalking it up to obedience and happiness. We have a really excited Zone with hard-working, obedient missionaries. They're so great and it is such a privilege to work with them. :)

I can't really think of anything else, so I'm going to end it here. I love y'all! Have a great day, and a fabulous week!!!
Liebe Grüße,
Sister John
